With its varied landscapes, beautiful woods and lovely views over the river Vecht, the Vecht valley in Overijssel is an ideal area for walking

The surroundings of the campsite are really worth exploring; and what better way to do this than by walking along country roads and forest paths, where you can enjoy the changing landscapes to the fullest.

Forests, heaths, moraines, floodplains; there are constantly changing views.

Very useful is the map with the extensive network of hiking routes in the Vecht Valley. On this map every junction has a unique number so you can wander endlessly without losing the way.

Besides that we have made four lovely circular walks from the campsite that take in the beautiful places in the area.

Hike 1: 3km
Hike 2: 5 km

Hike 3: 15 km

Hike 4: 19 km

The following four guides with walks are also available at reception:

- Beerze path

The Beerze path is the purple route on the walking map, which starts opposite the campsite and is a circular walk of about 11 km.

- Vecht valley walking path
The Vecht valley walking path passes through the campsite. It’s a long-distance walking route of four stages between Zwolle and Gramsbergen. This walking route has recently been extended into Germany.

- Krishnamurti walk
A 15 km walk along buildings and places that played an important role during the Star Camps (1924 - 1938), organised by the Order of the Star around the Indian person Krishnamurti, who was seen as a new world teacher.

- V(l)echtstromenpad, walking the Art Route
This varied 21 km walk connects extraordinary places and interesting facts along the Vecht river with three works of art from the Art Route.
