Camping in an atmospheric ambience

Camping De Roos is situated in a splendid riverdune landscape along the river Vecht in the province Overijssel

This landscape, which is the result of sand drifts from riverbeds having run dry during the last ice age, has been formed by gently rolling sand dunes which are covered with blackthorn, hawthorn and majestic old oak trees. The campsite is bisected by an old tributary of the river, which originated when the Vecht river’s course was normalised around 1900 and this meander was bypassed.

We have left this landscape as untouched as possible and suited the camping pitches to the natural conditions of the terrain, preserving the unique appearance and special atmosphere.

This backdrop of rare beauty offers you a wide variety of very spacious and wonderfully set camping pitches:

sheltered by blackthorn or with a panoramic view, by the water or preferably far away from it, shady or sunny, private or in a row next to each other, everything is possible.

The campsite borders a National Trust nature reserve accessible to hikers, and opposite the campsite lies a vast Landscape Overijssel woodland area. In other words:
Camping De Roos is surrounded by nature!
